Learn to play the blues on the ukulele! Most of the songs you hear on the radio have some basis in the blues, which is an important part of American music history and a major influence on most modern popular music. But what exactly is the blues?
Over the six weeks, you will learn techniques to introduce you to blues songs, how they work, and how to play them – including blues scales and chord patterns, beginning improvisation, bending, and other techniques. The course will delve deeply into a few songs demonstrating the ideas and skills that will give you a good foundation to continue to explore blues music in your playing beyond the class.
